I fell in love with the pogues after this song, a love that will neve die. Friends of mine never got the Pogues (or the Dubliners) but musically they have been a big part of my life. For which i will always thank them. I was always different thankfully certain bands helped me through.

Its strange, there are (statistically) as many people who speak Welsh in Wales now as there was then, yet the singing of that crowd, without a band leader was truly awsome....

Yes it sounded awsome, but will i ever hear it sang like that again...

i will never forget seing them live at the Welsh Folk festival Cnapan in 1995. I loved it and can say with totally honesty that i saw something totally new that night. Also gave the bassist a lifet west the following morning.
