The Settlers Museum was founded in 1987 to honor and preserve the heritage of Southwest Virginia. The Museum is located on 67 acres and is an open air museum featuring a visitors center a restored 1890's farm and farmhouse and a one room school house. The Appalachian Trail also passes through the property.
