The first one was supposed to focus on action, so I learned a lot about constructive editing. The second one was a how to film, so I learned a lot about having a narrative track talking over other scenes that are visually communicating steps. That one is a personal favorite of mine. The third one was trying to recreate a comic. I did this in one take, so there was a lot of coordinating with actors in order to get the timing right. It doesn't make much sense, but it's pretty funny. The fourth one was supposed to be a one shot film, now this was the first time I tried improv with my friend, this one probably turned out the worst out of the bunch, but meh. The fifth one is when I really played with musical pacing of the film and an overall story arch. The ending gets me every time, it's too good! The Sixth one was the final project in the class where we could do whatever we wanted, and one night I had the idea to do a music video about my friend Paul. An influence on the video was The Lonely Island, who have short videos that air on SNL. I made the music from scratch with the help of my friend Kris, and I was able to use his car to sit on while it was moving (dangerous, but funny). The last video on there I made in the style of an MTV Cribs episode since I moved into an apartment when I started going to DigiPen.
