Luck (aka 'Destiny') is for fools, as jokes are for the wicked.

Rule No. 1: As a child, you're just "the product" of your parents' late decisions & misconceptions (This is what some, refer to as "Fate"...)
There is no such thing as Destiny, there is just Chaos , waiting for a human consciousness to take over and DECIDE!

Rule No. 2: "THY CHOICE IS THY DESTINY!" - You're the Creator of Your Own Luck!
(available & possible only over teenage years, until that age Rule No. 1 applies... SO, no smart - parents, grandparents, so forth..-, no apparent bright future and obviously no easy life !...);

Rule No. 3: It ALL comes down to this phrase:
How you FEEL, How you THINK and HOW YOU ACT, DETERMINES YOUR LIFE and INFLUENCES THOSE OF OTHERS!

Look up in the Holy Bible or the "Qur'an" (for Goa'ulds), and search for "Luck / Destiny" ever being acknowledged as a concept. You'll find none of that, despite popular beliefs and folklore !!
