Senator Bob Brown thanks all of those people who have supported him in raising $240,000 to cover his legal bill from Forestry Tasmania. The bill was from his legal defence of Wielangta's forests. Over 2000 people in just over two days helped Bob reach this target.

Some Things Are Bigger Than Politics nzgreenparty - 6,392 views - 1 year ago
A Green Party of Aotearoa Video promoting their new campaign for the 2008 Election campaign.
Some things are BIGGER than politics. Things like freedom, fairness and the future we leave our kids. That's why Green Party members are active in community initiatives throughout Aotearoa and overseas. That's why Parliamentary politics is just one way the Green Party gets things done. And that's why Green MPs don't waste time barracking and point scoring -- they're too busy crafting practical solutions to the social and environmental problems we face. With hard work and good thinking, the future will be brighter. The solutions are Green.

Bob we got dead whales down here in Kilcunda and seven toxic drums washed up on this nice bit of coast we have in gippsland, The State Gov is still going ahead I do recall Planning Minister Justin Madden announced the desalination plant project near Kilcunda will be the subject of an Environment Effects Statement (EES). Mr Madden said analysis of preliminary environmental reports indicated there was a need for further investigation of any potential loss of native vegetation and impacts on landscape, flora, fauna and marine ecology.

Congratulations Bob!!!! I am just so delighted to know you won on quota and the Greens stats coming out are just amazing. I was proud to stand up for you and the Green's in the 2007 Election. I do hope you can get a youtube vid up of the cross to you on the night of the election, where you spoke about the Pulp Mill, I would dearly love to see that again! Though it was a little hard to hear you above your fervent cheer Squad! I don't blame them one bit, I would have been cheering hard too! :-)
