About Hospice Services for Chinese Patients
1. Introduction to Hospice: This video provides a general overview of Hospice and includes information on eligibility, cost and services provided.
2. A Family Explores Hospice: This educational video shows a man recently diagnosed with terminal cancer and his daughter learning about Hospice from a friend, whose wife had passed away.
3. A Family Discusses Hospice: This informational video shows a family learning the details of hospice service from a Hospice Coordinator and includes common questions asked by potential hospice patients and their families.

Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy
Self-Help for the Elderly offers Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Services in San Francisco and San Mateo. HICAP (Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program) is a statewide, state and federally funded program for Medicare beneficiaries and their families.
HICAP provides information, counseling, and assistance to consumers regarding the Medicare program, supplemental (Medigap) insurance, managed health care plans, long term care insurance and other health insurance issues. All of these services are provided by highly trained, volunteer counselors who are certified by the California Department of Aging.
