Named after a famous singer, Selena Marie Kayleigh Gomez (Sel, Selly) was born to Ricardo Gomez and Amanda (Mandy) Teefy on July 22, 1992 in New York and was raised in Grand Prairie, Texas. Gomez started acting at a very young age on Barney. When she was 12 years old, Disney was doing a world-wide talent search, and that's where she and her best friend, Demi Lovato were found. Gomez then joined Disney and guest starred in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and Hannah Montana. When she was 15, she auditioned for the part of Alex Russo in Wizards of Waverly Place 3 times. She got the role as Alex, and she is still playing that role. Most Recently, Gomez officially became the youngest ambassador of UNICEF. Selena has been in 4 movies- Princess Protection Program, Horton Hears a Who (voice), Another Cinderella Story, and Wizards of Waverly Place. She is filming Ramona and Beezus right now, which will come out on March 19th, 2010. Selena has won various awards for TCA, KCA, and most recently the Emmy's for Wizards of Waverly Place.

Demetria Devonne Lovato (Demi) was born to Dianna and Patrick Lovato on August 20th, 1992 in Dallas, Texas. Lovato quickly entered the acting business when she was six years old on Barney as Angela, where she met her best friend, Selena Gomez. Lovato was found by Disney Channel when they did a world-wide talent search. Lovato was the star of As The Bell Rings, a 5 minute show as Charlotte Adams which premiered on August 26, 2007. Then, a couple years later, she auditioned for another show called Sonny With a Chance. She plays Sonny Munroe, the main character, in this show. Lovato was in 2 movies- Camp Rock, and Princess Protection Program, both on Disney's top 3 Original Movies list. Lovato is now working on Camp Rock 2, the sequel to Camp Rock, which will come out in 2010.

Selena Marie Gomez (born July 22, 1992) is an American teen actress and singer best known for her portrayal of Alex Russo on the Disney Channel series, Wizards of Waverly Place. She has starred in the television movies, Another Cinderella Story and Princess Protection Program.

Before Disney, she had one of the kid roles on Barney & Friends. In 2008, she signed a record deal with Hollywood Records and contributed to the Tinker Bell, Another Cinderella Story and Wizards of Waverly Place soundtracks. Her band, Selena Gomez & the Scene, released their debut studio album Kiss & Tell on September 29, 2009.

Selena Gomez took her sweet time before recording her debut album. After all, she had her hands full starring in her hit Disney Channel series "Wizards of Waverley Place," not to mention appearing in a string of movies and other TV shows. Still, music had been a core passion of hers going back to childhood. A child no more, Selena comes on strong with her Hollywood Records premiere CD, "Kiss & Tell." It is nothing less than the emancipation proclamation of a young artist with a lot to say.

She didn't get there alone. Producer Ted Bruner, along with songwriters Gina Schock , Tim James & Antonina Armato and Selena's band, The Scene, wrap her vocals with fire and ferocity. "Because it is my first record I wanted it to be amazing," Selena says. "I think of this record as a huge learning journey. I wanted to find my sound and see where I wanted to go musically."

Demi is an actress, singer, songwriter, guitarist and piano player from Dallas, Texas. She began her acting career at 10 when she began playing Angela on Barney & Friends. She has been a guest star on Prison Break, Split Ends and Just Jordan. In January of 2007, Demi landed a series regular role on the new Disney Channel original short series, As the Bell Rings as Charlotte. She left the series after season one and was replaced by Lindsey Black. Demi is the star of the Disney Channel Original Movie Camp Rock, as Mitchie Torres, which was released on June 20, 2008. She is also to be in the movie Princess Protection Program as Rosie Montoya. She is going to have her very own Disney Channel Original Series called Sonny with a Chance, where she stars as Sonny, an aspiring actress who gets a role on a television show. Her debut album entitled "Don't Forget" was released September 23, 2008. Her sophomore album, "Here We Go Again", was released on July 21, 2009.
Demi was the national Hasbro "Hit Clips" spokesgirl, and has done voiceovers for both national radio and television ads for major companies, such as Denny's, Radica, and Hasbro. Additionally, Demi has won many statewide talent competitions. She has sung in such great venues as the Eismann Center and the Dallas Cowboys' Thanksgiving Day Half Time Show with LeAnn Rimes, as well as local places around Texas.
