Ananku kata is thought to have been brought to Okinawa from Taiwan by Chotoku Kyan.Performed by Zenpo Shimabukuro of the Seibukan.

Perhaps the kata is different because it was taught differently to Master Zenryo Shimabukuro by Master Kyan. In turn taught that way to Sensei Zenpo Shimabukuro
