Charles L. Chatmon is an author, poet, and freelance writer from Southern California. He's the current executive director of the L.A. Black Book Expo and a co-founder of the California Writers Collective. A co-host on North Bay Media Review's Mixed Matters, Charles is also involved in many literary projects including writing books, networking with fellow authors and teaches new and aspiring authors the basics of surviving the writing business.

Hello, I'm the author of The Depths of My Soul and The Voices of South Central, two books of poetry. I'm also the current executive director of the Los Angeles Black Book Expo, and a co-founder of the California Writers Collective. As a freelance writer, Ive contributed to local college and community newspapers in addition to a few start up magazines.

I'm a former English and writing lab instructor. As part of the CWC, I help coordinate writers workshops and through my website, Authors N Focus, I assist new authors just starting out with interviews, resources and networking. I also co-host an internet radio show called Mixed Matters bringing you the best in up and coming authors, writers and poets.
