What Does Equality Mean to You and How Do We Get There?
What Would You Say at the Seattle LGBT Equality March and Rally?
Are you a talented speaker? Do you feel strongly about equality? Have you done something to fight for LGBT rights? Do you have a burning desire to express your views during the Seattle LGBT Equality Weekend Rally?
Now is the time! Here is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
Enter the Seattle LGBT Equality Weekend Video Contest for a spot on the coveted speaking platform at the Seattle Equality Weekend Rally on October 11! If you have the passion and the gift of speech, we definitely want to see and hear from you! Send us a three to five (3 to 5) minute video of yourself talking about what inspires you to join the march and why this movement is important to you.
Email your video or a link to your video to outreach@seattleoutprotest.org by 12:00 noon PT on September 18, 2009. The Seattle LGBT Equality Weekend Outreach Committee will select the top five videos and post them on our YouTube and Facebook pages by September 19, 2009.
Voting will take place over the following week and end at 5:00 p.m. PT on September 25, 2009. Two winners will be chosen based on the highest YouTube ratings, combined with the highest numbers of thumbs up on our Facebook page. The process will be completely transparent for all to see. In the event of a tie, the committee will make the final decision.
The winners will be notified by email, and their videos will be posted on our website and YouTube and Facebook pages. There are numerous ways to create your video, and we suggest you make it as high quality as possible. We may be able to provide limited technical assistance with your video project. Judging will be based on message and speaking ability and not video quality.
