Picked up the guitar about 4 and a half years ago, taught myself everything just by reading random books and websites. jimmy page made me pick up a guitar, tony iommi got me out of my first slump, angus young got me out of my second slump, randy rhoads got me out of my third slump(also my favorite guitarist btw), yngwie malmsteen and dimebag darrell got me out of my fourth slump, then i saw paul gilbert and put the guitar down for about 9 months, i guess i was pregnant with some newfound guitar shreddage baby cuz i picked it up and was better than i was before, and i had this crazy desire to be as good as paul..so paul gilbert was basically the reason for my 5th slump but also the reason for me getting out of it(he's my second favorite guitarist). During all of that Steve Vai got me out of a big life slump I was in as well. Those are just some of the guitarists that kinda made me the guitarist i am today, maybe one day i'll incorporate some funk into my playing like john frusciante(rhcp was one of my favorite bands). anyways i could talk all day about guitarists and my influences but basically i've always tried to pick out the best guitarists and see if i could play what they could play..i dont see a point in playing something if your not gonna try your best to get great at it..I'll be posting covers and originals, mostly instrumentals.
