DEFEND - CONSERVE - PROTECT

The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society YouTube Channel.

Established in 1977, Sea Shepherd Conservation Society (SSCS) is an international non-profit, marine wildlife conservation organization whose mission is to end the destruction of habitat and slaughter of wildlife in the world's oceans in order to conserve and protect ecosystems and species.

Sea Shepherd uses innovative direct-action tactics to investigate, document, and take action when necessary to expose and confront illegal activities on the high seas. By safeguarding the biodiversity of our delicately-balanced ocean ecosystems, Sea Shepherd works to ensure their survival for future generations.

Hey Sea Shepherd!

I really like what you're doing, Paul Watson is an idol for me, he's probably some kind of a superhero.

Keep on fighting, maybe someday I will have the courage to join you, right now I'm just 16.

While Japan's international reputation is sinking fast in a sea of whale and dolphin blood, we as an individual have to do our share and boycott anything 'made in Japan'.

JOIN TO SAVE A WHALE, BOYCOTT JAPAN CAMPAIGN!

Countries listen to economic boycotts, because it hits them where it hurts.

Thank you,
on a recent visit to iceland and sweden I witnessed the mindless slaughter of Orca and Pilot whale, I was assured the "poachers" were not local in both area's but when I asked I was told "we/they eat the pilot whale...... we don't know why they kill the "killer whale" we do not eat that".
Apparently (after alot of seaching) I could only find one documented account of recent culling that said overfishing ment the orca started to eat more Sea otter, in turn the shellfish overpopulated and are destroying larger amounts of kelp and as a result massive amounts of landmass sank into the sea so in an effort to solve the problem man killed the orca but currently they have stopped (realising their stupidity) it is still going on does anyone know about this? I cannot find any evidence and did not make my own So I ask WHY DO THEY KILL THE ORCA do you know?
Bless all forms of intelligent life
then forgive them

In fact Sea Shepherd operates very much in accordance with Japanese cultural values, The word "samurai" means to serve and in this respect, Sea Shepherd crew are the Samurai of the Seas.

This year's campaign is called Operation Musashi in honour of legendary Samurai warrior Miyamoto Musashi who wrote of the two-fold way of pen and sword signifying that confrontation must be partnered with education to achieve a permanent victory.

I admire everything you do for the oceans. I have much respect for your organization. I also have links on my YT page for many ways people can help the ocean and the sea creatures that are being harmed and in danger of becoming extinct. Thank you so much for what you are doing to make a difference. Keep up the great work. I hope your week is full of sunshine and whale songs.

It is a bloodbath, cruel and barbaric. Each year, the idyllic and peaceful setting of the village of Taiji in southern Japan is shattered by almost unspeakable cruelty as incredible pain and ultimate death is inflicted on defenseless dolphins.
Since 2000, Sea Shepherd has maintained a strong, positive presence in the Galapagos Islands. From patroling the Marine Reserve stopping illegal fishing activities, to busting shark finners, to educating the local youth, Sea Shepherd carries out its mission of promoting ocean conservation using a wide range of methods and actions.
In 1986, the International Whaling Commission (IWC) enacted a moratorium on all commercial whaling. Since then, three nations -- Iceland, Norway, and Japan -- have brutally slaughtered over 25,000 whales under the guise of scientific research and for commercial purposes.
