About this user

I'm a college student and aspiring filmmaker currently living in Richmond, Virginia. My career goal is to become a professional documentary filmmaker, making more of the serious "Frontline" variety and less of the prickish Michael Moore kind, and later maybe expand my cinematic horizons to fictional narratives. My mother calls me a "storyteller", and making them is what I find myself doing more often than not, whether non-fictional for documentaries or fictional for a Oscar-winning Best Picture (that'll be the day). I hope that having in account on YouTube will help my abilities as a filmmaker as well as my social skills.

I am also a young autistic American. No, I am not just saying that to lure sympathetic chicks; my autism is real and I take it seriously. My form of the disorder (it's a disorder, not a "disease"; I won't fucking infect you through the computer screen) is called Asberger's Syndrome. I don't have it bad enough to be a blubbering, retarded buffoon (since such a stupid stereotype exists), though my behavior can at times be awkward and eccentric. That's probably something you'll have to bear with if you subscribe to my videos and/or add me as a friend. Throughout my childhood and formative years, I have made an embarassing series of mistakes and blunders, offending people because of remarks or actions that I honestly thought to be completely innocuous. Hopefully, once I learn to actually post videos to my profile, I'll see to it that they reflect the fact that I try to be a decent guy despite the weird and incredibly dumb mistakes I make. Whatever happens, please keep in mind that they do not reflect upon my mind or my personality, but upon the wiring of my brain.

I also hope to daily chronicle my life and explain my Asberger's to my friends, both old and new, as well as some realizations that I have come across as I have journeyed through life. My first and foremost hobby (creepo alert) is to tape certain television shows onto blank tapes. I do this a lot, for a variety of reasons. These shows include sitcoms, crime dramas, newscasts, and religious programs (most of the latter of which I usually loathe; I only tape them for research purposes). I actually have an irregular archive dating back to 2001, when I was still in middle school.In terms of what I usually do, it's pretty much the same as what you might usually do. When I'm not working or in school, I look at messages, surf the Internet, watch a movie, listen to music, and watch television. Because I don't want my brain and my body to reduced to mush, I also read and take walks with my mother and cousin (I also take walks with my Dad when I visit him).
