Ahh . . . OK . . . I get the Neumann, but what is the 441 doing? It's a dynamic, a hypercard (if I recall?) - so it has quite a LF drop off unless used close for proximity efect - so - what the heck is it doing that far away from the source (vocal)? Unless it's just there because it looks cool.

Interesting! Hmmm, howabout an SATB setup? These 3.5" drives could be the altos, you'd need some 5.25" for the tenors, some ancient 8" drives for the basses, and I know that back in the early 90's, some manufacturers were using those hideous 2.8" "quick disc" drives, those could be the sopranos! ...

@snaredrum110 Impressive! You used your intellect to *anonymously* post a negative comment about someone! Well, it is indeed possible that you are are correct and that everyone who thinks that Portnoy has good chops is completely wrong. Except that it's just an opinion. So both could be right.

In 1976, I was 16. I thought Alex was just lucky. Because he didn't have chops like John McLaughlin, I thought he was "less-than".
Now, I know it was just ignorance and the arrogance of youth. Music stores all over are filled with kids who could play rings around someone like "The Edge", but no...

What's with all the hate? Why can't we be OK with different people that play differently? It's true that Bozzio would probably not have been as good a drummer for Zepplin, but Bonham wouldn't have been as good a drummer for Zappa. So what? Neither of them could do what Alex Acuna does. There's ro...

Thank you! But I can't take any credit because I just copy other folks who post about adding switches for this and that on various modules.
I haven't bought anything from Phil yet but that will change shortly. Everything I've read from people who've bought from him make me *want* to support him...
