About this user
I am strongly against believing in a religious God. I truly feel that if God exists he or she is compatible with all believers and non-believers. The God that may exist is absolutely indifferent to our suffering. That being said, i firmly believe that God is highly unlikely but cannot be ruled out completely. As the days pass and i get older the more i begin to believe there is no creator. But i'd like anyone to challenge me.
"At the end of the day, if there was indeed some Body or presence standing there to judge me, I hoped I would be judged on whether I had lived a true life, not on whether I believed in a certain book, or whether I'd been baptized. If there was indeed a God at the end of my days, I hoped he didn't say, "But you were never a Christian, so you're going the other way from heaven." If so, I was going to reply, "You know what? You're right. Fine."
- Lance Armstrong
"Where is my faith? Even deep down there is nothing but emptiness and darkness If there be God—please forgive me. When I try to raise my thoughts to Heaven, there is such convicting emptiness that those very thoughts return like sharp knives and hurt my very soul How painful is this unknown pain—I have no Faith. Repulsed, empty, no faith, no love, no zeal, What do I labor for? If there be no God, there can be no soul. If there be no soul then, Jesus, You also are not true."
- Mother Teresa
"By simple common sense I don't believe in God."
- Charlie Chaplin
"I do not consider it an insult, but rather a compliment to be called an agnostic. I do not pretend to know where many ignorant men are sure - that is all that agnosticism means."
- Clarence Darrow
"If I have been wrong in my agnosticism, when I die I'll walk up to God in a manly way and say, 'Sir, I made an honest mistake.'"
- Henry Louis Mencken
