We are scientists. We seek the truth.
Some more directly than others.

The ST researchers do not search for truth directly. We experiment as we please, and rely wholly on our hope that the truth will meander toward us. Also, we rely on our hope that when it does present itself, it does not chloroform us, stuff us into burlap sacks, drag us home, and beat us mercilessly until we understand it.
