SCHUTZSCHALL macht deutschsprachige Rockmusik. Das Publikum fühlte sich je nach persönlichem Blickwinkel - schon an Rio Reiser, Nils Frevert, Olli Schulz, Tele, Geschmeido, Element of Crime oder Kante erinnert. Das kann man so sehen, muss man aber nicht.

Den Texten kommt ebenso viel Bedeutung wie der Musik zu. Aussage und Spielfreude ergänzen sich hier wunderbar! Auf der Bühne stehen drei Musiker, die sichtlichen Spaß an ihren Instrumenten (Gesang, Gitarre, Bass, Perkussion, Schlagzeug) haben, aber den Song nie aus den Augen verlieren.

Im Hause Schutzschall trägt man der Tatsache Rechnung, dass Studio und Bühne sehr unterschiedliche Arbeitsplätze sind, die verschiedene Herangehensweisen verlangen. Deshalb versucht die Band ganz bewusst nicht, jeden Sound von der einen in die andere Situation zu übertragen, sondern inszeniert die Songs immer wieder neu, um der jeweiligen Umgebung gerecht zu werden.
