They know the piece (or at least part of it) by heart. What's fake about that? That's what practicing is supposed to do, the same as with human musicians.

Dogs‘ hearing abilities are a lot better than their eyes. If they could really discern the tiny distances between the keys by watching eye movements, that’d be even more impressive than going by ear. Besides, dogs’ abilities to correctly identify noises we don’t even notice is well known in many contexts, e.g. recognizing their family’s car engines among others of the same make.

Thanks a lot! Yes, dogs really need new challenges like all intelligent creatures. And they are really proud whenever they got it right. You can see it in their faces when they finished a task and know they were good!

Hi, that's a bass pedal meant for human feet. It is connected to a keyboard via MIDI. You can get those e.g. from Fatar or Ketron.

Hallo, ja als Gehirnjogging/geistige Auslastung war das Ganze auch gedacht - vor allem ist das Klavierspielen beliebig variierbar und wird nie langweilig! Wir haben vor ca. 3 Jahren ganz klein angefangen, mit nur 3 Tönen (damals noch Glocken). Das Notenlesen machen wir seit ca. 2 Jahren (aber nicht so oft - Melodien spielen sie lieber).
