The united states should impose a 50 cent gas tax to encourage use of public transit systems. The tax wouldn't be applied to trucks, airplanes or cargo ships. Too many Americans drive around with only one person in the car. All the taxs revenue collected from the tax would go directly into public transit.

Has Peter Schiff lost his mind? I used to give Peter the benefit of the doubt that he was a libertarian type of guy. However, recently he has been pulling bonehead stunts like supporting Herman Cain's tax plan or walking around saying he is the 1%. He uses austro-libertarian political economic rhetoric to justify his position. After all, against the statist left it's like shooting fish in a barrel. Yet he pays no mind to the fact that there are plenty of austro-libertarians in the 99%, many of whom are out there protesting the injustices which most in the 1% continue to expand and perpetuate. Perhaps YOU're not engaged in rights violations, Pete. Yet the vast majority of those who make it to the 1% do so through political means. Way to set the libertarian movement back a few more steps, you douchebag. And you wonder why the left-libertarian movement keeps growing

Obama wants to speed up the tourist visa process to encourage spending in the United States by chinese citizens. It will fail for various reasons. 1. Its cheap to fly to hong kong, south korea or Japan to get the same quaiily or if not better goods.
