My Origins...
New research into my Surname has found that my Surname is Danish, from the Danes who settled during the time of DaneLaw in England.
They created a town in what is now Manchester, and called it Hulme.
Here is a part taken from Wikipedia about the town of Hulme:
"Historically a part of Lancashire, the name Hulme is derived from the Old Norse word for a small island, or land surrounded by water or marsh, indicating that it may have been first settled by Norse invaders during the period of the Danelaw."
Hulme is surrounded by Three rivers, which means the Old Norse word that means a place inland surrounded by water, has an accurate meaning for the town of Hulme.
"Which it may well have been when first settled by Norse invaders, as it is surrounded by water on three sides by the rivers Irwell, Medlock, and Cornbrook."

(My ancestors are Danish, so, the reason why I want scandinavia to unite is because I am proud to be Danish, and most scandinavian people will accept this.)
