The Savannah District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers manages more than $2 billion in military design and construction programs. We provide engineering, real estate and construction support to 11 Army and Air Force installations in Georgia and North Carolina. Our projects range from barracks, hospitals and clinics to equipment shops, training facilities and airplane hangars.

The Savannah District also oversees and maintains civil works projects- the Savannah and Brunswick harbors, the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway (AIWW) and three lakes and hydroelectric dams along the Savannah River.

Meanwhile, our environmental and regulatory experts help the environment by conserving wetlands, preserving natural resources and protecting endangered species.

And when disaster strikes, the Corps comes to the rescue. Our Emergency Management division has an impressive response record during natural disasters and other emergencies.

Our missions are broad, but our focus is clear. We are committed to serving and protecting our military, our environment and our nation - and that's what we call "Building Strong."
