Don't get me wrong, it's a great song, but part of the higher pitched guitar (at the start and repeated later in the song) is exactly like "Sewn" by The Feeling. Absolutely not suggesting plagiarism, just very similar!

Speaking as an Englishman: Languages change and evolve, as someone below said all languages are bastardised versions of previous cultures that have been adopted or inflicted upon a country (via invasion for example).
