An introduction to the band:
The Disco was founded by acoustic, singer/songwriters Bobby Doran & Bob Jones, and has been in the works since 2006, making a name in the Denver music scene as the Bobby Doran Band. Both Doran and Jones started off as solo, acoustic artists, finding a niche with their unique shows, including a handful of acoustic guitars and loop and effect pedals, relieving acoustic boredom with innovative guitar styles, ranging from progressive riffs, not-so-ordinary chord progressions, to simple and listenable, radio-friendly tunes, adding lead and drum beats via loops.

The two songwriters began with some duo shows, playing tight with acoustic guitars, lead parts, and harmonies, sometimes switching back and forth with hand percussion. Kristopher Moeller joined to create the three piece Bobby Doran Band with flowing bass parts, bringing a new color to the original songs, as Bob Jones honed his hand percussion skills as the backbone of the Band. The energetic performances proved to make the three piece worthy of a spot in any mix of full bands, playing all types of music, building a growing fan base of all ages and musical tastes.
Phil Jensen arrived in late Spring 2008 with an electric guitar and mandolin in hand, his musical knowledge has been a great addition to the trio songs, playing lead parts and synching with the band. Phil also gigs solo and teaches guitar theory.
Brandon Moss has added with his drumming talents and capabilites. The music school graduate can play anything thrown in his direction; a great music knowledge, both in theory and feel. Brandon teaches both drums and guitar, a fine fit for the rhythm section of the Satellite Disco.
Lauren Hendee will be joining the band with her skills on the Keyboards. Fresh out of college, Lauren has a music degree, and currently teaches music and theory.
Arrangements of full band material are now in progress, as well as rehearsals and probable set lists.
