The ancient Assyrians built an empire and many of its people had Aramaen and Chaldean origins. After losing their war against the Babylonians and their allies, they still remained in what is now Syria, Southern Turkey and Northern Iraq. The vast majority of those Assyrians, just like Israelites, Babylonians and Egyptian were later on forced to adopt an Arabian/Islamic cultural identity during the Arabian and Ottoman occupation period.

I hope their descendants may one day discover their cultural roots so that Egypt, Assyria and Babylon may one day find once again the greatness of ancient times.
