British Medical Cannabis - BBC Inside Out

140,905 views 4 years ago
Diagnosed with Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis in 2003, I was immediately told, by the same neurologist, to avoid all existing pharmaceuticals. If it wasn't bad enough to be lumbered with a disease like MS.

Using my own 'home grown' cannabis, together with the pharmaceutical Sativex, I've managed to reverse many of the symptoms of MS. I'm now the British representative for the International Association of Cannabis Medicine.

I am working towards increasing access to this valuable medicine. Sativex has changed my life for the better, improving my physical and emotional health and of those around me.

I am now the British representative for the the International Association of Cannabinoid Medicines (IACM) and recently delivered a presentation at a convention in Bonn, Germany. My interests lie in 'whole plant' cannabis research and medical use.

British laws stand in the way of essential cannabinoid research and development. Put 'cannabinoid' in Google and inform yourselves, if you please.

Cannabis Society Play

The recreational cannabis community has provided me with the wisdom I needed to achieve the good health I have. I don't promote the smoking of cannabis but fully acknowledge the need to protect certain members of society. At the moment, Britain has an abysmal and failing solution to the problem. We need a rethink.

I believe that an evidence based drug policy is the only way to protect the most vulnerable in British society. I also respect another person's right to privacy and don't believe arrest and a criminal record is good for our society.
