The best pharmaceutical currently on offer comes with a 1/600 chance of death and I've decided to risk my liberty rather than my life. I know you would do the same if in my position.

Towards the end of 2009, I was approached by BBC West Midlands to be the subject of an Inside Out program. The program is about my struggle to remain as healthy as possible by whatever means. A person's health is their most valuable possession. Without it they are stuffed!

At the moment GW Pharmaceuticals manufactures a cannabis derived tincture here in the Britain. The lengthy process of giving this product a licence and getting it to the patients in need is proving quite tedious to say the least. Baroness Finlay tells me that she will try and speed this process up and I am grateful to her for this. However, Sativex is currently being exported to countries such as Germany, Finland and Italy where it reaches patients there. The question is why is this happening? It's clear how money makes the world go round.

It is true that some patients are getting Sativex in Britain as some know-it-alls regularly inform me. The simple truth is that these people are the lucky few. The vast majority are still left to suffer. The next government should bring this situation to an end if they are to be taken seriously by an increasingly frustrated and ever growing community of disabled voters.
