I am a Christian, plain, and simple. I was a Drug Addict/Alcoholic 24 years, and was saved from it by a supernatural encounter with Jesus Christ. While I was at the altar I asked if God could forgive me for all the horrible things I had done, and he answered me. I felt his arms around me, even though no one was standing near me. He said welcome home my son, this is where you belong, the angels rejoice for you. When I asked who he was he said "I am Jesus, and I have always loved you, and held you late at night when the enemy tried to destroy you." I do not have the luxury of atheism, or unbelief, because I know he is real. Not because my parents believed, but because when I was ready to end it all behind my own private hell of self loathing, and drugs, and alcohol, he spoke to me, and changed my whole world. The love of Jesus changed me from a person who hated everything, and everyone, to a Jesus Freak. Jesus pulled all the anger towards my Stepfather/family out of me, and forever changed me, I started crying, and I couldn't control my self, but when I was done, he lifted me, and said I am with you always, now, I can never renounce the God who saved, and healed me. God's Amazing Grace changed me forever that day, the old man was gone, and I was filled with the Holy Spirit. God brought me to The Salvation Army, and I now help people there. My wife, and I are Salvation Army pastors, and we counsel, and encourage all to know Jesus. my Wife, and I are childhood abuse over comers, and we reach out, and help those who have been abused, to find comfort, and Jesus. Sexual abuse is very real in America, and as Salvationists, we will never rest, or stop, or quit, or give up, until all abused Children are safe from harm. Our motto is heart to God, hand to man. We minister to the lost, the hurting, and the forgotten. May Jesus bless all around the world, and may he return for his children soon, and may God bless you, and keep you.
