Where I am based its next to impossible to get good fresh cream (thin buffalo cream is all that's on offer) would you think this recipe will work with UHT cream? Its a long shot I know!
That looks great! It's always my job to mash up the haleem my mum-in-law makes...tough work but I think it makes a better haleem that in a food processor. Have now spent 2 hours watching your vids...perhaps its time to get back to work!! Incidentally, its my mum-in law's haleem for dinner tonight!!
@myso08 sometimes large pieces of meat are cooked down with the dahl instead of minced meat, this would account for the stringy texture, as the meat is then picked from the bones and mashed up with the dahl, so long fibers still remain.
