Sanjhi Sansthan

Sanjhi is a not-for-profit environmental organization, established in 1997 in Udaipur, India. The word, Sanjhi means and signifies "mutuality" and "working together," which is the essence of the organization.

Sanjhi's mission is to promote sustainable development practices in both rural and urban India through its unique model of combining awareness and action methodologies. We do so by providing tools of communication, interaction and technology in the hands of youth in communities across India.

We teach youth, through our unique environmentally focused media workshops, to communicate socio-environmental issues through visual narratives using photography. We then engage these trained youth in creating photo narratives of real environmental issues on an ongoing basis. This enables them to become strong advocates and adopters of a more sustainable lifestyle within their communities
