I am a flutist and teacher in Salem, Oregon. My best friends are all musicians and recording gurus,most notably my best friend and husband, Jim Norman, the recording engineer and musician who supports my work as no one else. My students are awesome individuals and are genuinely interesting, kind humans.
I collaborate with Kathryn Cater, a talented and creative harpist and composer, as RoseWynde flute and harp duo.
I also work with pianist Debra fingers Huddleston giving concerts and recording. She accompanies my students and is an amazing collaborator and coach.
I have loved my life as a musician and teacher. It has brought the greatest experiences of my life.
I thank my father, Henry Duffy for giving me a love for classical music and teaching me to count, and observe articulations and my mother, Ann Duffy, and her sister, Phyllis Daniel, for joyfully teaching me so many folk songs and children's songs and singing with me from my earliest days.
