First of all, my husband and best friend passed away August, 2009. Then, a year later, in a six month period of time, I lost out two greyhounds to bone cancer (Lizzie was 12 & Dickens was 11 & we had them for 8 years which is not bad for greys! I lost Lucy, our pit mix in December and she was 15 years old. We had her for 12 years! I was devastated! A month later, in mid January, 2010, I adopted Gracie, online. It was very impulsive for me to do that, but I kept hearinbg their footsteps around the house & thought I was going crazy. Gracie is the only dog not rescued! She truly has rescued me! It was the best thing that I could have done at the time. Thanks for asking! I am now pretty much recovering from my extreme losses and even, in some ways, better off! I do have some bad dayts still, but the good days are much more frequent!
