I was born in a town where your sexuality is suspect if you don't like to kill things for "sport" or if you have an IQ over 90. I felt like an alien dropped out of the sky on the wrong planet. I survived and got the hell out asap.
I went to college and got drunk on two beers the first night. Also played a lot of bridge. I was more interested in learning stuff than focusing on what I would do for a career. (Which is possibly why I've never exactly had one--and remain interested in just about everything.) Fun not always being the brightest person in the room, tho.
Moved to NYC in 1978 and felt more at home here than anywhere else I've ever been. It was love at first sight with the revelatory experience of beng able to walk down the street *anonymously*.
Loved fought endured created blundered married divorced failed triumphed forgot remembered recorded collected delighted suffered quoted inspired collected learned taught and so forth.
Currently expecting dramatic changes in human life circa 2012-2015.
