What is Heaven? Heaven is a place of comfort for the spirits of Gods people, a place to inhabit after their time on earth is over. Many of us hold different views on how we to get to Heaven. But, isnt Heaven Gods house? Shouldnt the master of the house set the rules on who is allowed in? Of course, so if we want to enter Gods House, then we must follow His requirements for entering. For example, when we are invited to a formal event (like a wedding, party, etc.) we have to dress and behave according to the requirements set by the one in charge of the event. If we dont, then we wont be allowed in. This is how Heaven is, we must meet Gods regulations if we want to enter His house, or else we will not be allowed in. What are Gods requirements for us? Please, allow me to explain basic Christian beliefs - as predicted by the Old Testament prophets, Jesus is the promised Messiah, the begotten Son of God. Through His life and teachings, Jesus has given His faithful followers a guide for living a life pleasing to God here on earth. However, His greatest mission was to offer Himself as a sacrifice for the sins of humankind through crucifixion. Sin is a violation against Gods holy laws; no one is perfect enough to follow Gods standards. If we break one law, that is enough to keep us out of Heaven. Ancient Hebrews dealt with this problem by sacrificing lambs in order to cover the sins of the people. However, Jesus Christ has come to be the perfect sacrificial lamb for us. Lambs are no longer sacrificed because Jesus has taken the punishment that is meant for us on Himself. We meet Gods perfect requirements by believing in Jesus, His holy sinless life and sacrifice that He has imparted to us. Furthermore, in order to defeat one of humankinds the greatest enemies, death, Jesus was resurrected after three days and ascended to Heaven. We Christian wait for His ultimate return to earth, where He will reign with His faithful followers. Believe in this making the living Lord Jesus Christ the King of your life, turn from your selfish, sinful ways and live for God - then you shall be saved (meaning you have met the requirements for entering Gods house.) Yes, it takes faith, but the kind of faith that stands strong through all the doubt and dark forces that oppose faith and a desire to imitate Jesus characteristics (God will help our faith with the Holy Spirit). Although Christianity originated in Asia (technically israel is a part of Asia) Jesus offers the invitation of eternal salvation to all who will believe and accept His invitation to Heaven ............
