@chichom27 How can you not dance to it? When I hear this I want to play it too. I can't play it with a violin but I can play it with the bodies of me and my partner. Such sadness. Such happiness. Feel the loneliness and hold it at bay for just 4 minutes.

Watched the BBC docu on iplayer on the train last night and been playing him here ever since.

The writing is great, the arrangement is superb and the vocals are terrific but its that bubbling, pounding, rolling, driving rhythm sounding like a perpetual motion machine that gets you every time

When my mother complained about "There's no tunes in it" this is the one I played to her. To her credit she was won over in 2 minutes flat.

They make the song sound more like themselves. Lennon (and the rest and GM) make the song sound less like the Beatles and more like the song. Reminds me of Nirvana doing Bowie's "Man who sold the World"; same comment.

Original and best. Nancy's version sounds pedestrian and strained, Cher's later arrangement sounds over the top. This one just suits the music.
