St. James Cathedral is the oldest Episcopal congregation in Chicago. Located at the corner of Wabash Avenue and Huron Street, in the bustling North Michigan Avenue neighborhood, we are a 400-member parish representing a broad cross section of people.
St. James has been the Cathedral for the Episcopal Diocese of Chicago since 1955. The diocese encompasses 41,000 members in 127 congregations reaching across the northern part of Illinois, from Lake Michigan to the Mississippi River.
