I have been playing Chess for about five years now. I have just recently broken the 1800/A-player barrier (I am now 1928). Some of my chess acomplishments are that I won the u1800 section of the Colorado Open and I also won the Denver Chess Club June tournament. I play in tournaments sometimes traveling across the country, so far my biggest prize was $683.19 (at the 2005 HB Global) not bad hoping for a better result next time. I have also given lectures at the local club as well as taught a few students. Lets see other things about me...I like to play video games, try new things, read books and I dabble with programming and web design. I have given up on trying to be a comedian and now I go to school full time at the University of Colorado Denver. I am studying to become a science teacher because I have a passion for teaching and science.
