I know this will happen to me too. So I never fly without my RF downed plane locator beacon. Google it up! It is not expensive.

I learned from the Technoweld Aluminum welding video that you have to scartch the aluminum surface with the Durafix rod for your melt to blend in. Durafix or Technoweld will not penetrate the thin transparent aluminum oxide layer on its own.

Wow! I tried Technoweld (or similar product) and failed lamentably. Now I see where I went wrong. Thank you for this wideo. Aluminum welding (soldering) wihtout TIG or MIG at last!

Your keychain cam does not have a wide angle view, that gives a narrow tunnel vision and the airplane noze is in the way. I fyou move the camera up a bit, we get to see more of this nice view from above. I'm glad you found your way back home. Happy flying.
