@MrOliverKjaerulff Yah... "easier" ... It's not too hard to do technically right but to control the dynamics with such precision as Berezovsky does is truly an monstrous task.

This piece is amazing. Alkan's use of chords is unprecedented and I might dare to add still not duplicated. It's sad that things so unconventional and unique are overlooked and pieces such as Alkan's are almost forgotten.
At any rate, whenever I attempt it my forearms begin to burn horribly! :P

I only wished Liszt lived longer on the verge of death: imagine what other masterpieces he would have made!
I do not understand why people avoid dark pieces such as these. There is beauty in poignancy.

My name is Caleb: I am 16 years old. I began teaching myself the piano 21 months ago. Since then, I have grown to love the instrument and find my own "niche": I enjoy the music of Franz Liszt and Charles Alkan. Three months ago, I decided I would start composing myself. I transcribed a few pieces and eventually set out to create a piece "from scratch". I am a first-year student in Canada's top business school so I am extremely busy, yet I still wish to post my work as it gradually develops!
@Euph0riaLove I second that! This is one of the most complex versions of this cover that I have seen on YouTube. If only the camera was facing down on the keys, I might have been able to salvage something!
