Dear Viewer,
When I saw Lady 45 for the first time I knew I had to have her. I was in a Gypsy warehouse in Carabancel where they sell used home appliances. I had originally gone to pick out a new refrigerator and then I saw her from across the room. She was nestled between many other dishwashers she could have been easily over looked, but I saw her from across the room as if a holy light from the heavens above shown down on her. In fact it was the simple clean design that called me. I approached her and upon closer inspection saw her name, LADY 45 and I fell in love. It was a moment of pure inspiration, my inner world had been turned upside down for I had never thought of a dishwasher as an robot woman or as woman for that matter, yet there she was, in front of me. I immediately bought and brought her home.
When Lady 45 moved in I decided to put her to use while I processed the ideas she provoked in me. The next 6 months were the best 6 months of my independent adult life. I have never had a dishwasher in my many apartments, only in my parents house. Let me tell you, a dishwasher is a great trio for any couple. You would not believe the amount of bickering that disappears when you have a second lady in your life. Both my husband and I loved lady so much that it really hurt us when she died. She had changed our lives, for the better. We had more time to do everything and then one day, poof, kaput. I was actually out of the country at the time visiting my family. My husband called to tell me the sad news. We thought maybe she was acting up because I had gone, but when I returned Lady continued to cease to function. It was then that the stone cold reality hit, Lady 45 was dead.
The loss of Lady had a major effect on our lives. It was really hard losing her, just like losing anybody. Though she was made of metal, plastic and a motor, Lady was loved as if she were kin. It was depressing to go back to hand washing, you just cannot clean as well with a dish soap and sponge. She made everything sparkle. Not only the chinaware, but she pulled the whole kitchen together and put a sparkle in our smile every time we pushed on. I still miss Lady and she has been dead since last October. Every time we wash a dish we are reminded of our loss. Oh Lady, why did you have to leave us so soon? It wasn't your time...
Lady 45 is free now. She has transcended from her former domestic habitat to another world, but she will not be forgotten. When Fast Gallery invited me to show in their space "Memorabilia" at JustMad2, I realized that it was Lady 45's time to shine again and my opportunity to create the homage that she deserves, thus my piece LADY 45 4EVER, It is an interactive installation with both video, sound and sculpture. Come and see the Lady 45 in person, watch her free spirit soar, listen to the pop music that better expresses thoughts for us, meet me, STEEL5000, talk, mingle, think and last, but not least, get your picture taken with her, LADY 45. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity, it's not every day that you meet the perfect lady, so don't let her slip through your fingers, capture her in time with a real photo, remember her forever. Like Tom Jone's says: "Well she's all you'd ever want, She's the kind they'd like to flaunt and take to dinner. Well she always knows her place. She's got style, she's got grace, She's a winner. She's a Lady. Whoa whoa whoa, She's a Lady. Talkin' about that little lady, and the lady is mine." I love LADY 45!

A lo largo de los 4 días de la feria, el open space de FAST GALLERY se convertirá en un punto de encuentro abierto a la intervención pública mediante una serie de acciones, performances y happenings que realizarán varios artistas programados y a los que están invitados a participar los asistentes de la feria.
El resultado será una pieza-habitáculo en constate desarrollo, germen de una colección espontánea y anónima de las sensaciones, trastos, papeles e instantáneas para el recuerdo que surgirán de todo lo que ocurra en su interior.

Creación de pequeños cadáveres exquisitos con linóleos elaborados para la ocasión, a partir de un imaginario mágico-simbólico, que los asistentes podrán seleccionar por medio del azar.
