With respect, I do not believe this is Hung Gar. It looks like Bak Mei, but my familiarity with the Bak Mei system is very limited so I could be in error.

Normally I would be more polite regarding disagreements, but I will stick with being not "impolite". This is not Hung Gar.

@supyeekiusau Yeah that's basically the only place I've ever seen stone locks for sale. Regarding the heavy pole training, I use a PVC pipe that's filled and capped off. Maybe you could do that as well to prevent further wear and tear on the staves.

@popsjnr Staff doesn't seem to be made of waxwood. Looks more like oak. Oak doesn't "taan" like waxwood. Plus the staff seems to be longer than the standard 7ft 2in used for practical application and martial drills. Probably meant more for power training so that it's better expressed through t...

I mean this with respect, but this is not the Tiger Crane form.
His performance contains leopard patterns, "Metal/Gold", and "Wood" element movements. This indicates that it is probably the "Sup Ying Kuen" [Ten Form Fist] which includes movements from the five animals and postures characterizin...

@chongyt94114 No offense intended but I think you have the reason for your translation wrong. To say that it's translated to "eight chopping butterfly knives" because of the "figure 8" movement seems erroneous. The "figure eight" movement for the "number 8" is not the same as the "character" for...

I'm not entirely sure why there are so many dislikes. The clip is showing Master Lee Kam Wing disproving the so called "Chi Kung" tricks as being merely skillful handling of the instruments. The knife "hitting" in the beginning and the whole-hand "chopping" at the end were his attempts to show ...
