South Main Community Arts Center, on the corner of S. Main Street and S. 5th Avenue, in Gainesville, Florida. Started by Chris Fillie and Nicholas Iaunelli.
We are an arts collective of visual and performing artists, newly formed in the fall of 2009.
Already we've hosted a variety of events and installations, from hand-crafted furniture to graffiti art, kinetic sculpture, paintings, drawings, photography, music concerts... and have plans for more including a regular Y'Art Sale on Main Street, classes for neighborhood children, a Halloween psychic performance artist and costume portrait studio, etc.
