Eligibility:
The Contest is open to all Filipinos by lineage residing in the Philippines or abroad. Teachers, administrators, students, parents and all members of the community are eligible to join.
Contest Period:
Submission of videos is open from 15 August 2009 to 31 October 2009, 11:59 PM (GMT +8). Only video responses uploaded within the start and end dates of the contest will qualify as entries. All entries submitted after the prescribed deadline will still be accepted and can be posted in the site but will no longer be eligible for winning.

How to Join:
1. 15 August 2009 to 15 November 2009. Deadline of submission of entries is 31 October 2009.
2. To join, entrants must create and submit a video as a response to the Guro documentary videos uploaded in YouTube.
3. For the video to qualify as an entry, the following minimum requirements must be met:
a. Video entries should be 100% original and creative.
b. Video responses may feature responses by an individual through testimonies and/or other creative means or group responses through discussions, skits and/or other creative presentations, as well.
c. Entries should depict either of the following themes:
- Inspiring teacher stories from the view of co-teachers, students, administrators and/or the community.
- Teachers personal experiences in education.
- Teacher stories that inspire better learning
- The lives of Filipino teachers.
- Views of the challenges teachers face every day; and/or
- Stories that inspire greater public support for teachers work
d. Video entries should be a minimum of two-minute long and a maximum of ten minutes.
e. Entries must be uploaded through the Guro site on YouTube in an appropriate format recommended by the site. The range of video file formats accepted are .FLV, .WMV, .AVI, .MOV, .3GP, .MP4, .MPEG, .SWF and .MKV (maximum of 2 GB in size) which can be transferred from most digital cameras, camcorders and cell phones.
f. Video/s should have been taken in the Philippines within the last three years only.
g. Video/s must be considerably sharp, meaning, subject must be identifiable - minimal blur and shake are acceptable.
4. Submit entries by uploading videos to your YouTube account (according to the site's uploading guidelines) and posting it as a video response to any of the uploaded Guro documentary videos on http://www.youtube.com/user/SKGuro. Send us through YouTube's personal messaging your full name, mobile number and email address.
5. There is no limit to the number of videos one may submit.

How to Win:
1. Early video submissions made, provided the minimum requirements have been met, will win the contest minor prizes:
a. First 25 users who uploaded individual responses, gets Php100 worth of call and text card.
b. First 15 users who uploaded group responses, gets Php300 worth of call and text card.
2. A list of contest winners will be posted in the SKGuro YouTube site on October 31, 2009. Winners will also be notified through email and/or SMS.
3. Call and text load prizes will be sent through SMS to the mobile number provided in the Video Consent and Release Form.
4. From among the winning and non-winning entries, FIT-ED will choose two (2) entries for the Best Guro Video Response Award, on the basis of the criteria below:
Originality & creativity (Uniqueness of activity and storytelling; Presentation and quality of video entry) - 30%
Message clarity and relevance - 30%
Motivation and inspiration - 30%
Over-all impact and appeal (Entertainment value) - 10%
5. The two (2) Best Guro Video Responses will win a Mini-Video Camcorder each.
