"Have you ever met a real superhero?" Being an icon is so 2001, Sir Reigns is a real superhero. He was born Sir Robinson in Baltimore, and immediately placed under the "vow of Nazarite" best known for the prophets Samson, John the Baptist and Rabbi David Cohen. Following the ancient Jewish vow found in Numbers 6:1-21 in the Torah/Old Testament, Sir was not allowed to cut his hair, eat or drink anything of a vine, nor go to funerals for the first 18 years of his life. Moreover, he went through G.A.T.E. (Gifted And Talented Education) throughout his entire formal schooling. At the age of 2, Sir could read, by 10 he was shooting movies with BYTV (Baltimore Youth Television), at age 16 he was writing poems, and at age 18 he wrote full length albums. Ironically, it wasn't until college that Sir began to realize he may be... different. Sir Reigns became popular in the Spoken Word scene in 2001 with the formation of the Oracle Poetry Society (Special OPS) and then in 2002 with the 5thL. These two groups which Sir began, took poetry on the East Coast to a new level. Sir was the star poet at a variety of shows, plays, and workshops. His first project, Purgatory, was a underground success but left him wanting more. After hundreds of performances at high schools and colleges, Sir decided to take his focus spiritually inward. At that time Sir decided something had to be done differently. In 2004, the 5thL went their separate ways and Sir vowed not to return to the scene until technology had caught up to his ideas. That same year Sir married his superheroine Regena. Sir coached and encouraged his wife to win Mrs. Baltimore United States 2008 , Mrs. Maryland United States 2008 and Mrs. D.C. America 2010. Furthermore, Sir and Regena co-founded the World Poetry Agency a 5013c non-profit which continued Sir's legacy for workshops to help children. Having proven to be an accomplishmed artist, Sir didnt rest on his laurels, he knew he hadn't tapped in all aspects of his talent to help change the world. In 2007 Sir began to understand his position as a Superhero and began writing the story of his life- Word Warz. This "fictional" spiritual account took 3 years to complete and is by far Sir's best work to date. It combines the music, comic book , game and movie genres flawlessly. Sir was lucky enough to begin working with the popular and immensely talented visual artist JM Ringuet on the project and then something amazing happened. Sir began to discover more hidden superpowers as he taught himself the art of recording and soon thereafter production. "I remember Regena asking 'Is that you playing piano?' I replied, 'Yes. I'm playing by ear. Can't everyone?' I learned at that moment not to limit myself because I know I'm guided by a higer power." While completing the project Sir received executive consultation from Bruce George Co-Producer of Def Poetry Jam and Wendy Day of Rap Coalition known for facilitating the biggest deals in hip-hop history. Both agreed Sir's music is "commercially viable" and his concept "needs an investor to come to fruition." Sir took this advice and built the best team of executives he could find in hopes of convincing the all important angel investor or venture capitalist that his idea is the most creative since Michael Jackson's Thriller. To prove market worthy Sir has set a pre-comic book goal to assure the unique franchise recieves the proper funding, publicity and marketability it deserves. With the help of Sonray, ( and your help of course), they will reach their goal of ministering to more than 100, 000 people. Sir's new non-sampled fully composed Spiritual Hip-Hop work takes the listener through a journey of a man who attempts suicide only to be taken to get a glimpse of heaven. Hey sir, thanks for the sub. I see you love Sade my brothers group the jazz defektors toured with her in the 80s and were also in the film together absolute beginners. They dated briefly in the 80s and i was lucky enough to speak to her a few times, beautiful woman. check out the jazz defektors, my brothers called Saltz.
