About this user

Siohvan, a native of New Brunswick , New Jersey moved with her family to College Park, Ga , as a young child and discovered her love for music in elementary school. Her family noticed her talent as well and began to coach her talent of singing and enroll her in talent shows and encourage her to perfect her skill. She comes from a strong background of singers and musicians but a special light shined on her as she would warm the hearts and move her listeners with her vocal powerhouse and stage presence. She discovered just at age 5 what she would be doing for the rest of her life. Throughout her teen years Siohvan would sing at weddings and various concerts in school when she was noticed by several local producers who her parents turned away for fear of her losing her focus on what was most important...her spiritual career which is still first in her life. Siohvan continued to sing throughout her younger years and was even picked to sing on a Caribbean cruise line where she received a standing ovation for her talent. Upon losing the rock of her family, her father in Spring of 2008 she threw herself into her music and began writing and singing throughout Atlanta to deal with the pain of her lost. She has now defined her life as the four M's. Her Ministry, Motherhood, Marriage, and Music. Siohvan has always had an appreciation for the magic of LIVE music. "There is just something about a live band that makes you feel like you are apart of the action. It's so spontaneous, and freeing. It allows you to change things up and go with your feelings at any given moment by changing the melody, the arrangement; it's the true essence of being out of the box and giving your audience what they paid to see...Art!" Siohvan has gone on to sing with various bands around Atlanta until finally creating a band of her own, made up of some of the best musicians in the Atlanta area. Her vocals are referred to as powerful, sultry and moving. Upon her official debut on the music scene (just 3yrs ago) in Atlanta she opened up for The Spinner's, landed several steady paying gigs at many different venues on the Southside of Atlanta & has made a name for herself as having true vocal talent! She also landed a gig singing at the Soul Train Music awards offical after party in 2010. She is currently working on her debut album and enjoying the journey of music. She is one to watch! If you see her live you are in for a treat. Siohvan has brought back true VOCAL talent to the music scene.
