My name is Oisín Ó Dubhláin. I am the Sinn Féin Local Election Candidate for Pembroke Rathmines.

If elected I will fight tirelessly for the areas of Pembroke and Rathmines. I will be a strong and vocal republican voice in the politics of Dublin. I promise to fight the inequalities and injustices which have been ignored by FF, FG and the Greens. Working to create the strong and vibrant community which the people of the area deserve.

I currently am working as Nurses Aide in a Dublin hospital while taking a year out from studying to be a Mental Health Nurse. I am a student member of both the Irish Nurses Organisation and the Psychiatric Nurses Association.

I have been a member of Sinn Féin since 2005, joining in college. Since then I have been involved in numerous campaigns across the city including the issues of housing, education, health care, workers rights, the lisbon treaty to name a few. I have a particular interest in the issues of housing and education being both a young worker and a student who has a personal experience of the difficulties and hardship faced by countless people across the city struggling to gain decent accommodation or get a qualification in spite of cutbacks, incompetence and bad political decisions by those in power.
