NERT is a community-based disaster preparedness organization. It trains San Francisco residents to be self-sufficient when responding to a major catastrophe. NERT also helps neighbors get organized into effective local teams that help support official rescue operations.
NERT training is provided by members of the San Francisco Fire Department. Classes are taught in many neighborhoods, and they can be provided in Spanish or Cantonese. If you have a large business, you can ask about sessions for your employees.
