I feel a Deaf Trucker would be more of a SAFETY driver ( WHY) like you said earlyer ( EYE's) eye can see more then what the ear hears, Also doing a pre-trip your eye do most of the work...as for the air-brake how deaf person can find a leak ( Brake Check) eye see the gauge if it contiue to move ...

PA is Volunteer FF can have Blue, WVa,VA, NC, SC, GA, Ala, and think most other states Volunteer Have Red /White....No State will let you have Red/Blue together except, I think Western states like Kanas, Neb, Iowa, most fire Dept out there run Red/Blue with Police Dept...so for Tenn, sure its Red...

Love NYFD, I lose my hearing so I wear hearing-aid now but do miss firefighting.....I love to be just the station radio man/ Station Keeper....just to be there.....Been a Volunteer for over 10 yrs...

Well even know the Red Triangel was a Slow moving vehicle, it would still got my Eyes looking....But yeah with all the vapors leaking and blowing across the road...I would still see a Hazardous Situation here...Man laying in the road would have given me a warning sign....
