S.C.R.I.P.T., whose real name is Loren D. Whittingham, is a landed immigrant from Jamaica who spent much of his childhood in Canadas foster care system. He found a sense of healing and identity in poetry, and demonstrated his talent early on at open mic sessions around Ottawa. He has won several competitions for both hip hop and spoken word performances, including 3 first place finishes at the Capital Slam spoken word competition. Whether on the page or on the stage, S.C.R.I.P.T. is rapidly demonstrating that he has the intelligence and talent to be at the top of the Canadian Hip Hop Scene.
