San Andreas State Police

BACKGROUND:
San Andreas law enforcement is composed of federal, state and local entities. The FBI, is the principle agency that handles special investigations across state and city lines. At the state level are Troopers, San Andreas State Police/Patrol, formerly Highway Patrol, which now has responsibilities beyond the interstate system connecting Los Santos, San Fierro and Las Venturas, but includes the rural communities Red County, Flint County, Bone County, Tierra Robada, and Whetstone. To assist in coordinating local law enforcement duties among these rural communities, the relatively small police departments within each county has been collectively formed into the San Andreas State Patrol - Sheriff Department. Whereas San Andreas State Patrol - Trooper units primary responsibilities are on the interstate, however, San Andreas State Troopers can enforce traffic laws and assist municipal police units throughout the state.
