Expedition Gamma (ExGamma) is a two week simulated Mars mission at the Mars Desert Research Station in Utah. I am commanding this mission and co-instructing Crew 56 on how to live and work on Mars, such as how to perform field Geology or Biology while wearing simulated spacesuits.
FMARS 2007 Training Mission - MDRS
The Flashline Mars Arctic Research Station (FMARS) 2007 crew is training at the Mars Desert Research Station (MDRS) for two weeks preparing for their four-month simulated Mars mission, FMARS, located at Haughton Impact Crater on Devon Island, Nunavut, Canada. This will be the first time a crew has ever spent four months in a simulated Mars mission. Ryan Kobrick is one of the crew engineers and the human factors researcher.
