@BandOnTheRun87 Over time the gas evaporated and just left the oily residue. The old coils all failed; just the materials they used "back in the day" I guess. Of course; that motor is over 60 years old :) I have a 1955 Evinrude 15HP.....You'll need to rebuild the carburetor; renew the ignit...
